Skidmore College announced this spring that Kate Lenox will lead its field hockey program as the new head coach, tapping a coach whose career has been built on NCAA Division III excellence.
A Proven Track Record
Lenox arrives after a stint at Clark University, where she orchestrated a program turnaround and earned recognition as part of the 2024 NESCAC Coaching Staff of the Year following a Final Four run with the Ephs at Williams College, where she also handled recruiting coordination.
Her coaching journey includes earlier roles at Union College and extensive work in club and youth field hockey, complemented by academic credentials — a bachelor's degree in sport business management from Mercyhurst University and an MBA from Niagara University.
Emphasis on Holistic Growth
The new coach highlights the importance of balancing athletic ambition with academic rigor, aiming to cultivate environments where student‑athletes can thrive both on the field and in the classroom.
