Katelyn Morson has been named the head soccer coach at Neville High School in Monroe, Louisiana, bringing a blend of local roots and competitive experience to the program.
A Local Talent Takes the Helm
A 2018 graduate of Warren Central High School, Morson excelled on the field, earning recognition in soccer, softball and volleyball before continuing her soccer career at East Central Community College.
After college she returned to Warren Central as an assistant soccer coach, gaining valuable leadership experience before stepping into her first head‑coaching position at Neville.
The school announced her hiring in May, highlighting the appointment as a strategic move to build on the program’s recent growth.
Morson’s deep ties to the region extend beyond her playing days; growing up in Vicksburg, Mississippi, she watched local fields transform into training grounds that shaped her work ethic.
As she prepares for the upcoming season, she aims to blend disciplined training with community engagement, seeking to elevate the team’s profile while fostering a culture of development.
