Kaulig Racing taps Colin Braun for Lime Rock Truck debut

Veteran sports‑car ace joins the Free Agent program as the series heads to Connecticut

Kaulig Racing has revealed that veteran sports‑car driver Colin Braun will take the wheel of the No. 25 RAM 1500 for the upcoming NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Lime Rock Park on July 11.

A Road‑Course Veteran Returns

Braun, who last contested a Truck Series race in 2011, previously drove for Kaulig at the St. Petersburg street circuit and finished ninth, marking his first Truck start in more than a decade.

The 2008 Rookie of the Year earned his sole Truck victory at Michigan International Speedway in 2009, a milestone that helped cement his reputation on the national stage.

Beyond stock‑truck competition, Braun has amassed three IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship titles and four overall wins in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, underscoring his versatility on both ovals and road courses.

The Lime Rock Challenge

Braun described Lime Rock Park as a venue steeped in history, noting that its tight, technical layout presents a pure road‑course challenge that demands precision and focus.

He will be paired with crew chief Alex Yontz, whose guidance has helped the No. 25 truck climb to 25th in the owner standings after 13 races this season.

A Season in Flux

AJ Allmendinger currently holds the truck’s best finish of the year, a sixth‑place result at Watkins Glen International, but the lineup remains fluid as Kaulig rotates drivers through its Free Agent program.

The team has confirmed that Ryan Newman will assume the No. 25 seat at North Wilkesboro Speedway on July 18, adding another layer of intrigue to the roster as the season progresses.

Kaulig has yet to announce the remaining drivers who will complete the Free Agent lineup for the rest of the 2026 Truck Series schedule, leaving fans eager for further revelations.
