A season of distinction
Keenan Dolan, a senior at Bishop Manogue High School, was recently honored as the Gatorade Nevada Baseball Player of the Year, a distinction that blends athletic excellence with scholarly commitment and civic engagement.
His pivotal performances helped the Miners navigate a demanding schedule and secure a spot in the 5A State Final, underscoring the program’s resurgence in northern Nevada.
The accolade marks only the second time in two decades that a player from the region has received the honor, the previous recipient being Robby Snelling in 2022.
The Gatorade award evaluates not only statistical production but also classroom performance and community contributions, reflecting a holistic view of student‑athlete success.
Dolan, when asked about the recognition, emphasized the collective effort behind his achievement, praising his teammates, coaches and the school’s supportive environment.
