The Owen Sound Attack announced today that Keenan Reynolds has been named the new head coach of the Ontario Hockey League franchise, marking a full‑circle moment for a player who once skated for the club as a fourth‑round pick in the 2014 priority selection.
Returning to the Nest
Reynolds, who completed his junior career with the Attack before moving on to a successful playing stint in the professional ranks, returns to the community that helped shape his development. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Carleton University and an MBA from the Smith School of Business, credentials that he says inform his modern approach to leadership.
His coaching résumé includes four seasons at the junior level with the Nepean Raiders, the Acadie‑Bathurst Titan, and the Erie Otters, where he honed a reputation for player development and strategic innovation. The team’s president, Tyler Nother, praised Reynolds’ passion, preparation and the fresh perspective he brings to the bench.
Captain Pierce Mbuyi echoed the sentiment, stating confidence that Reynolds’ vision will translate into a winning culture within the locker room. “His plan aligns with what we want to achieve on and off the ice,” Mbuyi said.
In a brief statement, Reynolds expressed excitement about the opportunity to give back to the organization that first offered him a platform. “I’m eager to work with the players and staff to build something special for the fans and the community,” he added.
