Camp Focuses on Mental Resilience
Arizona Cardinals cornerback Kei'trel Clark is swapping the bright lights of State Farm Stadium for the familiar hallways of his alma mater, where he will lead his first ever youth football camp.
The event, dubbed the Teach Tape Camp, will be held at Manchester High School in Chesterfield County, Virginia, and is split into two distinct sessions — one for children aged six to twelve and another for teenagers between thirteen and seventeen.
Clark says the curriculum is designed to develop more than just athletic ability; he wants participants to walk away with a stronger mindset, emphasizing that mental toughness is as crucial as physical prowess on the gridiron.
Joined by several former teammates, the camp will blend on‑field drills with classroom‑style discussions about goal setting, perseverance and the discipline required to succeed at the highest level.
Local organizers hope the initiative will inspire a new generation of athletes in the region, providing a rare opportunity for youngsters to learn directly from an NFL veteran who credits much of his own success to early mentorship.
Clark’s emphasis on mental strength sets this camp apart from typical skill‑building clinics. He believes that cultivating a resilient mindset early on can shape a player’s entire career.
