All‑State soccer honors celebrate standout athletes and coaching excellence across Delaware

A Season of Excellence

Kelsey Beatie of Appoquinimink has been crowned Player of the Year for the second year in a row, a testament to her sustained brilliance on the soccer field.

The Jaguars finished the season with a stellar 15‑1‑1 record, securing the DIAA Division I championship and cementing their place among the state’s elite.

Beatie’s offensive firepower was on full display as she finished with a school‑record 27 goals, a milestone that underscores her impact.

Her teammate Avery Holland also earned national recognition, being selected as an All‑American, highlighting the duo’s combined dominance.

Honors Across the Board

The All‑State team showcases talent from a wide array of schools, including Padua, Caravel, Newark Charter, Sussex Academy, Odessa and Caesar Rodney, reflecting the depth of competition.

Mid‑Atlantic All‑Regional selections such as Saint Mark’s senior Whitney Evancho, Middletown senior Sarah McFarland and Caravel junior Sydney Hayden further illustrate the breadth of talent in the region.

Coaching excellence was also celebrated, with Gino Miraglia of the Raiders named Coach of the Year after guiding his squad from an 8‑7 record in 2025 to an 11‑4‑1 season, while Anthony Dirienzo of Saint Mark’s took home Assistant Coach of the Year honors.

These accolades not only spotlight individual achievements but also signal a bright future for Delaware soccer, as young stars continue to rise and inspire the next generation.
