Kennesaw State baseball capped a dramatic Senior Day with a 12-6 triumph over Missouri State, a victory that not only celebrated nine graduating seniors but also locked the Owls into the No. 7 seed for the upcoming Conference USA Baseball Championship.
Senior Day Highlights
Trenton Lyons sparked the offense with a 4-for-5 effort, driving in three runs and scoring twice, while Shamaar McDuffie continued his hot streak, recording his third consecutive three-hit game and adding three runs of his own. Cooper Williams delivered the decisive blow, launching a three-run homer in the sixth inning that pushed the lead to four, and later contributed a two-run single in the seventh as the Owls pulled away.
Peter Jezerinac earned his first career win, tossing 1.2 scoreless innings, while relievers Nate Helman and Daniel Powell combined for 4.2 innings of solid work and Cole Royer closed out the game with two shutout frames. The pitching staff limited Missouri State’s high‑scoring offense to just 16 runs over three games, with Charlie Jones’ three-run homer in the first inning setting an early tone.
