The Kenton Elks are set to stage their annual Youth Soccer Shoot competition on July 30, bringing together young athletes from across the region for a day of skill‑based contests.
The tournament will be held at the Kenton Little League Soccer Complex, where the fields will be transformed into a vibrant arena for the various age‑group challenges.
Age‑Group Categories and Contest Formats
Participants will be divided into several brackets, including a five‑goal contest for under‑8 players, a grid‑goal contest for under‑10s, and progressive contests for under‑12, under‑14 and under‑16 groups. Each division follows a tailored format designed to test shooting accuracy and teamwork.
Registration for the event will open immediately after the conclusion of the accompanying kids’ soccer camp, giving families a convenient window to sign up without delay.
The competition is open to all boys and girls up to the age of 16, regardless of whether they are members of the Elks lodge, ensuring that the community can take part freely.
Winners in each category will earn the chance to advance to state and national tournaments, providing a pathway for talented youth to showcase their abilities on a larger stage.
