Kentucky Athletics has revealed a comprehensive set of upgrades for the 2026 season at Kroger Field, promising fans a more affordable, convenient and vibrant game‑day experience. The changes span pricing, payment methods, food offerings and interactive elements designed to deepen engagement with Big Blue Nation.
One of the most visible adjustments is the reduction of concession prices, with items such as hot dogs now priced at $3 instead of $5. Alongside the lower costs, the stadium will introduce a broader selection of locally sourced foods, including Taylor Belle’s ice cream, Kentucky Proud popcorn, Marksbury Farm brats and Kentucky Legend hot dogs, giving supporters a taste of the Commonwealth while they cheer.
A New Era of Payment and Service
All concession stands will operate on a cashless basis, and transactions at the UK Team Shop will also move to digital payment platforms. Two new ‘Just Walk Out’ locations, powered by Amazon’s checkout technology, will further streamline the experience by eliminating traditional lines and reducing wait times.
To add excitement before kickoff, a fresh team introduction sequence will debut, led by game‑day host Ohavia Phillips. The host will guide fans through themed activities that align with each home game’s unique fan focus, creating a more interactive atmosphere that builds momentum throughout the stadium.
Local Flavors and Student Involvement
The expanded menu will also showcase products from Kentucky‑based vendors, reinforcing regional pride and giving fans more reasons to linger between plays. Additionally, University of Kentucky students will be able to apply meal‑plan swipes toward designated combo options at select concession points, blending campus life with game‑day festivities.
UK Athletics Director J Batt emphasized that the passion of Big Blue Nation is the engine that drives the stadium’s energy, while Head Coach Will Stein noted that a lively crowd can provide a tangible boost to the team’s performance on the field.
Off‑season work has not been limited to the fan experience; the venue received resurfacing, suite renovations and the addition of new chairback seating along the north sideline, all aimed at preserving Kroger Field’s reputation as a premier college football destination.
