The University of Kentucky’s men’s basketball program has unveiled its 2026‑27 non‑conference slate, a schedule that blends home‑court showcase events with a series of high‑profile road matchups.
Season opener at Rupp Arena
The Wildcats will tip off the campaign on November 3 against Manhattan, marking the first of seven home games to be played inside the iconic Rupp Arena.
A full slate of home games
In addition to the opener, Kentucky has slated six more contests at Rupp Arena, welcoming James Madison, Northern Arizona, Grambling State, Bryant, Sacred Heart and Gardner‑Webb. The games form a concentrated stretch of home action that will give the new coaching staff ample opportunity to fine‑tune its rotation before the grind of conference play.
Road tests against top opponents
The Wildcats will also travel to face familiar foes and national powerhouses alike. A December 12 showdown with in‑state rival Louisville will return to Lexington, while a November 10 meeting with Kansas is set for the United Center in Chicago. Indiana awaits on November 20 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Virginia on December 2 in Charlottesville, and North Carolina on December 19 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Overall, the schedule reflects a deliberate effort to blend local tradition with marquee road tests, setting the stage for a season that could define the trajectory of Mark Pope’s second year at the helm.
