The Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame has announced the inductees for its 2026 class, a diverse group that blends pioneering coaches, standout players and a historic father‑son coaching duo, all of whom have left indelible marks on the sport across the Commonwealth.
A father‑son legacy
Allen Feldhaus, Sr., who played under legendary coach Adolph Rupp at the University of Kentucky and amassed more than 500 career wins, will be joined on the stage by his son, Allen Feldhaus, Jr., the current head coach at Madison Central who guided the Indians to a state championship in 2013. Their combined dedication to the game reflects a lineage of excellence that the Hall of Fame wishes to honor.
Among the other inductees are Chrysti Noble, now in her 36th season at Rockcastle County where she led the Lady Rockets to a state title in 2011, and a distinguished list of players and coaches including Pat Doyle, Anthony Epps, Makayla Epps, Tony Kimbro, Noel 'Tick' Rogers, Herbie Stamper, Bob Tallent, Fred Tisdale and Rebecca Greenwell Wathen. Each brings a unique chapter to Kentucky’s basketball story, from championship pedigrees to pioneering efforts that have expanded the sport’s reach across the Commonwealth.
Ceremony set for August
The induction ceremony is scheduled for August 22 at the historic Lexington Opera House, where family, friends and fans will gather to celebrate the new members. The event promises to blend tradition with the excitement of a new generation of leaders being recognized for their impact on high school basketball.
A lasting impact
Beyond the accolades, the Hall of Fame’s 2026 class serves as a reminder of the deep roots and enduring passion that define Kentucky basketball. As the inductees prepare to take their place among the state’s legends, their stories will inspire future coaches, players and communities throughout the region.
