Kentucky’s 2027 recruiting class received a major boost this week as four-star cornerback Miles Brown announced his commitment to the Wildcats, a move that elevates the team’s national standing.
A Versatile Playmaker
Brown, a standout from Westview High School in Tennessee, is celebrated not only for his defensive prowess but also for his rare three-sport athleticism, excelling in football, basketball and baseball.
During his sophomore campaign he logged 54 receptions for 984 yards and 16 touchdowns on offense while adding 39 tackles and three interceptions on defense, and he also contributed as a return specialist.
His junior season saw him catch four passes for 63 yards and a touchdown in a state-championship game, break up two passes and return a kickoff 78 yards for a score, showcasing his knack for big plays.
Recruiting Narrative
Brown chose Kentucky over prominent SEC programs including Ole Miss, Louisville and the Tennessee Volunteers, citing the staff’s emphasis on relationship building and player development as decisive factors.
Coaches highlighted the program’s trajectory and the opportunity for him to impact the team early, a pitch that resonated with a player eager to grow in multiple facets of the game.
The commitment marks the 16th pledge for Kentucky’s 2027 class, which now sits at No. 10 in the 247Sports national rankings, underscoring the Wildcats’ ability to compete for elite talent.
