Kentucky Wildcats Reveal 2026 Fall Exhibition slate
The University of Kentucky has unveiled its upcoming fall exhibition baseball schedule, slated to feature four contests that will see the Wildcats face off against a mix of power‑conference opponents and regional rivals.
Two of the games will pit Kentucky against teams that have recently made deep runs in the NCAA Tournament, including the Cincinnati Bearcats and the Xavier Musketeers, while the other matchups will be against the Indiana Hoosiers and the Morehead State Eagles.
Cincinnati, coached by Jordan Bischel, enters the series after back‑to‑back Tournament appearances and a two‑year stretch in which they have compiled 71 victories, underscoring the program’s resurgence.
Xavier, despite finishing the 2026 regular season with a 28‑30 record, secured third place in the Big East standings and showed competitive form in conference play.
Indiana, a former back‑to‑back champion in 2023 and 2024, missed the Tournament in the last two years and posted a 23‑31 overall record in 2026, making their exhibition game a test of rebuilding momentum.
Morehead State, coming off a 31‑24 season and an 8‑6 loss to Kentucky earlier in February, will look to avenge that defeat when the two squads meet again in the fall schedule.
Kentucky’s own 2026 campaign concluded with a 33‑23 overall record and a 13‑17 mark in SEC play, earning them a berth in the NCAA Tournament before a regional exit.
The exhibition series is designed to give the Wildcats additional competitive reps ahead of the upcoming season, while also providing fans with early‑season matchups against high‑caliber opponents.
