A Busy Start to the SEC Season
The University of Kentucky has unveiled its complete SEC basketball schedule for the upcoming season, confirming that the Wildcats will open conference play on January 2 against Oklahoma.
A marquee early‑season matchup will see Kentucky travel to face Arkansas on February 20 at Rupp Arena, where they will meet former Wildcats coach John Calipari, now leading the Razorbacks.
Calipari’s Razorbacks hold a 1‑1 record against his former team since taking the Arkansas job, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the February contest.
The early slate also includes two of the first three conference games on the road, beginning with a trip to Missouri on January 9 and a later visit to Mississippi State.
Home games are slated for January 5 or 6 against Ole Miss, January 12 or 13 versus LSU, and January 16 against Vanderbilt, giving fans multiple chances to watch the team at Rupp Arena.
Additional home fixtures include a showdown with Tennessee on January 23 and a matchup against Alabama on February 6, when the Crimson Tide will travel to Lexington.
Mid‑season road trips will take Kentucky to Georgia (February 16‑17) and back to Vanderbilt (February 23‑24), while the regular season will close with a road game at Florida on March 6.
The Wildcats will also host Texas on January 30 and finish the conference schedule with a series at Texas A&M on March 2‑3, rounding out a demanding but exciting schedule.
