Recruiting surge after Memphis showcase
The live period of the AAU circuit is in full swing, drawing coaches from across the country to the Nike EYBL event in Memphis. Kentucky Wildcats assistants were among the contingent, using the showcase to evaluate prospects for the incoming 2027 class.
During the evaluation window the Wildcats' staff moved quickly, handing out scholarship offers to a cluster of elite talents. The commitments include five‑star guard King Gibson, five‑star wing Demarcus Henry, five‑star guard Cayden Daughtry and five‑star center Yann Kamagate, all slated for the 2028 cohort.
The program also extended invitations to four‑star big men Caleb Ourigou, Darius Wabbington and guard Adan Diggs, who are slated to enter the 2028 cycle as well.
Future outlook
Recruiting analysts note that the staff is expected to keep the offers flowing in the coming days as the evaluation period continues, while the 2026 roster remains a work in progress. Making tangible headway in the 2027 recruiting cycle is viewed as a priority for the coaching staff.
