Keontae “Ke” Hollis Jr. Joins Hoban Knights, Brings Texas Rushing Power

The sophomore transfer aims to contribute immediately as the Knights look to rebuild after a strong 10‑2 season

A New Chapter for the Knights

Keontae "Ke" Hollis Jr., a 5‑foot‑9, 168‑pound sophomore from Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas, has officially joined the Hoban Knights football program. His arrival adds a dynamic rushing option to a squad that finished the previous season with a 10‑2 record and a trip to the Division II, Region 5 final.

During his freshman year Hollis rushed for 728 yards on 64 carries, averaging 11.4 yards per attempt and scoring 10 touchdowns. He also contributed 87 receiving yards and two additional scores, showcasing his versatility on offense.

Physical testing highlights his athletic ceiling: a 4.5‑second 40‑yard dash, a 500‑pound deadlift, a 405‑pound squat and a 260‑pound bench press. Those numbers have drawn praise from strength coaches and suggest he could make an immediate impact in both power running and short‑yard situations.

Defensively, Hollis proved his tackling instincts by forcing and recovering a fumble while playing linebacker, underscoring his all‑purpose skill set. His former team, the Rams, posted a 7‑4 record before bowing in the Class 6A Division II playoffs.

The Knights will rely on returning backs Kahlil Diming and Jaiden Daniels to share carries, but head coach Brayton Feister sees Hollis as a legitimate threat for significant snaps. "We’re excited to see how his speed and strength translate on our field," Feister said in a recent interview.

Hoban’s recent run to the regional final set a high bar, and the addition of a Texas‑bred rusher adds depth to a backfield that aims to maintain its winning tradition. The team’s next challenge will be integrating Hollis into a competitive rotation as they prepare for the upcoming season.
