Conference Honors Highlight Balanced Attack
The Keota Eagles closed out the season with an 11‑8 record, a milestone that set the stage for a wave of conference accolades.
Junior Brycen Horras led the charge, securing the league’s batting title with a .596 average and ranking among the top ten in Class 1A with a .623 on‑base percentage, a 1.342 OPS and 34 hits that translated into 20 runs and 17 RBI.
Sophomore Blake Baker complemented the offense with a .540 average, a 1.319 OPS and a top‑10 finish in Class 1A, while also anchoring the rotation with five wins and a 2.30 ERA.
Seniors Jackson Vittetoe and junior Brennan McGuire earned honorable‑mention honors, with Vittetoe pacing the team in stolen bases (19) and McGuire posting a .341 average, a 1.875 OPS and a 2.95 ERA in limited mound work.
