Kevin Clark, a senior at Haddon Heights High School in New Jersey, has decided to concentrate exclusively on baseball as he prepares for the next chapter of his athletic career at Kutztown University.
During the fall he served as the team’s starting quarterback, throwing for 810 yards and connecting on 10 touchdowns, a performance that highlighted his arm strength and decision‑making under pressure.
In the spring he made the switch to catcher, posting a .404 batting average with four home runs and 30 runs batted in, contributions that helped Haddon Heights capture the South Jersey Group 2 championship.
From the Gridiron to the Diamond
Clark’s experience on the football field has instilled a brand of toughness and mental sharpness that he now brings to every at‑bat and defensive play.
Beyond high school, he has been a regular presence in the Tri‑County Men’s League, where he bats cleanup for the Roughriders and continues to refine his swing against seasoned competition.
His participation in the Carpenter Cup, an all‑star tournament sponsored by the Philadelphia Phillies, provided a national stage to display his talents to scouts and coaches.
Roughriders manager John Githens has publicly expressed confidence that Clark possesses the tools to compete at the highest levels of professional baseball.
Looking ahead, Clark will join Kutztown University’s baseball program, where he hopes to further develop his skills and position himself for a potential draft opportunity.
