A Heisman Contender's Final Push
SMU Athletics has unveiled the K7NG OF DALLAS campaign, a multimedia effort that spotlights senior quarterback Kevin Jennings as he vies for the Heisman Trophy, weaving together his on‑field dominance and the university’s recent resurgence.
Jennings enters his final college season with a résumé that places him among the most efficient passers in the Power Four, boasting 19 career starter wins, a .731 winning percentage and 7,709 career passing yards.
His 55 touchdown passes also rank him fifth among returning Power Four quarterbacks, while his accuracy and decision‑making have helped SMU break into the AP Top 10 for the first time since 1983 and secure a College Football Playoff berth.
The campaign ties Jennings’s high‑school triumph at South Oak Cliff — where he led Dallas ISD’s program to a state championship in 2021, the first for a Dallas district since 1958 — to his emergence as the ACC’s active leader in passing yards, total offense and winning percentage.
The Road to the Heisman
Fans will get their first glimpse of the Heisman trail when the Mustangs open at Doak Campbell Stadium against Florida State on Labor Day night, a venue that promises to amplify the quarterback’s national exposure and kick off a season that could reshape his legacy.
