Thomas spent his prep years at Sagemont Prep in Weston, Florida, where he was a key contributor to three consecutive Class 1A state titles under head coach David Roe.
During his senior season he posted averages of 15.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game, while also sinking 60 three‑pointers that highlighted his shooting range.
