Kewaunee High School, the 2025 Packerland Conference champions, are gearing up for the 2026 football season, opening their campaign on August 21 against Fox Valley Lutheran.
Embracing Change on the Field
Head coach Randy Charles has emphasized that the team must adapt to the current roster rather than rely on past strategies, noting that evolution is essential for continued success.
Junior quarterback Diesel Bosdeck will take over the signal‑calling duties, succeeding Brett Paulsen, who amassed more than 3,000 yards of total offense and scored 47 touchdowns last season.
Excitement Among the Roster
Junior tight end and outside linebacker Dane Harrell expressed enthusiasm about the offseason work and the new direction under Charles, highlighting the energy building within the squad.
Strength in the Trenches
Four returning starters will protect Bosdeck on the offensive line, allowing the offense to shift toward a more pass‑heavy approach that leverages the quarterback’s arm and the team’s speed.
Charles, who has led the Storm to five conference titles and posted winning seasons in eight of his ten years, stresses focusing on one game at a time and pushing the team toward perfection.
The season opener against Fox Valley Lutheran on August 21 will serve as the first test of this new-look offense and the team’s ability to translate offseason progress into on‑field results.
