The win caps a whirlwind week for the club, which saw its 2010 cohort navigate a tightly contested semifinal against Bettendorf SA Elite from Iowa before advancing to the championship match. The narrow 1‑0 win over the Iowa side underscored the team’s resilience and tactical discipline.
KOSA’s journey to the summit was not without near‑misses. The 2009 Boys had previously reached the national tournament final, only to fall 2‑1 after leading early, a loss that added urgency and focus to the following season’s campaign.
