KidSuper’s New Soccer Jersey Bridges Art, Fashion, and the Beautiful Game
Colm Dillane, the creative force behind the KidSuper label, has long been fascinated by soccer. Growing up across New York, Chicago, Mexico, and Wisconsin, he turned that nomadic childhood into a personal mission: to make the world’s most popular sport accessible to kids who might otherwise never step onto a pitch.
In Harlem, Dillane co-founded KidSuper Samba AC, a youth soccer club that fuses the sport with art and fashion. The club’s rooftop pitch in Brooklyn serves as both a training ground and a canvas for Dillane’s designs, reflecting his belief that soccer is as much about expression as it is about competition.
A Collaboration for Community
Now, the designer is taking his vision further with a limited-edition jersey that will be released in partnership with Bank of America and media platform Complex. The collaboration aims to broaden soccer’s reach across the United States, using apparel as a gateway for new participants.
The jersey’s design is unmistakably KidSuper: bold graphics, meticulous detailing, and a color palette that nods to the brand’s runway roots while honoring traditional soccer motifs. It will be sold exclusively through the Complex Shop, giving fans a chance to own a piece of the intersection between sport and style.
Beyond the garment, the project underscores Dillane’s broader ambition to reshape how soccer is perceived in America. By embedding artistic flair into the game’s fabric, he hopes to attract a generation that sees the sport as a cultural statement as much as a physical pursuit.
