The Bring the Heat Tournament at Don Bosco High in Ramsey, New Jersey, concluded with a dramatic final that saw the Kingston Post 150’s American Legion Junior baseball team finish as runners‑up.
Early Victories
Kingston opened the competition with a 6‑5 win over the Cpi Cubs 15U, rallying in the later innings to secure the victory, and followed it with a 7‑3 triumph over the Rockland Elite National 15U.
Title Game Showdown
The championship match began with Kingston taking a 1‑0 lead in the top of the first when Greyson Williams drove in a run with a groundout. However, the BC Prospects answered with four runs in the bottom of the second, establishing a lead they would not relinquish.
Despite a modest offensive output, Kingston’s bats produced four hits, including singles from Charlie Bauer, Ryan Murphy, Mason Deibert and Ben Carrion, but the pitching staff could not contain the Prospects’ offense, resulting in a 10‑2 final score.
Kingston will next host the Guilderland Bulldogs at Gruner Field in Kingston, New York, on Sunday, June 21, looking to rebound from the loss.
