KJ West, a senior forward from Bowie State University, has earned a spot in the 2026 HBCU All-Star Dream Classic, a showcase that brings together the nation’s top men’s and women’s basketball players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
During the 2025‑26 season he posted averages of 15.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game, highlighted by a 30‑point outburst against Lincoln (Pa.) on Feb. 21 and two consecutive 20‑point performances in the CIAA Tournament.
West said he feels honored to represent both his university and the broader HBCU community, noting that the invitation reflects years of relentless effort.
