The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced that Kutztown University’s Jared Ferguson and Nick Varda have once again secured spots on the Academic All-District Baseball Team, marking the second consecutive year each has earned this distinction. The honor reflects not only their on-field contributions but also their sustained academic excellence, reinforcing the university’s reputation for developing well-rounded student-athletes.
Jared Ferguson, a junior hailing from Reinholds, Pennsylvania, brings a .370 batting average to the lineup while maintaining a 3.62 cumulative GPA. His season stats include eight doubles, a home run, 26 RBIs and 23 runs scored, illustrating a blend of power and consistency that has helped shape the team’s offensive output.
Nick Varda, a redshirt senior from Columbia, Maryland, counters with a 3.86 GPA and a .279 batting average. Though his power numbers are more modest, Varda contributed four doubles, three triples, two home runs, 26 RBIs and 21 runs scored, underscoring his reliability and clutch performance throughout the campaign.
The CSC Academic All-District selections recognize student-athletes who excel in both the competitive arena and the classroom.
