Tickets for the Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off are now on sale, giving fans a chance to secure seats for a holiday‑time college hockey showcase that will unfold in Milwaukee between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
A Holiday Tradition Revived
The four‑team bracket features Northern Michigan University, the University of Wisconsin, the University of Massachusetts and Arizona State, each bringing a distinct pedigree to the ice.
Games will be staged at the Fiserv Forum, a 15,178‑seat arena that also hosts the Milwaukee Bucks and Marquette University men’s basketball, providing a modern backdrop for the tournament’s semifinals, a consolation match and the championship contest.
Wisconsin has carved a niche in this event, having captured three titles and finished runner‑up on two other occasions, a record that underscores the Badgers’ consistency in holiday tournaments.
Northern Michigan and Wisconsin meet for the 90th time in their all‑time series, with the Badgers holding a historical edge, while UMass has posted a perfect three‑game record against the Wildcats and Arizona State has won all five encounters with Northern Michigan.
Goalie William Gramme of Northern Michigan has been a standout, posting 34 saves in a single period and a career‑high 65 stops in a game against UMass, feats that have added a new chapter to the program’s defensive lore.
Beyond the on‑ice storylines, the tournament will highlight local talent, including Jack Galanek, Grayden Slipec and Steve Brownlee, who are expected to contribute to the competitive atmosphere.
