Sitting 24th in the championship standings, Busch has recorded two top‑10 finishes this season, the latest of which came at the 2023 event where he secured his first victory with Richard Childress Racing.
Busch’s championship pedigree includes titles in 2015 and 2019, earned during his tenure with Joe Gibbs Racing before he moved to RCR for his fourth season.
While the exact nature of his illness has not been disclosed, the team expressed confidence that he will return to competition once cleared.
