NASCAR star Kyle Busch was taken to a hospital after a serious health episode, forcing him to sit out the upcoming race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
A sudden setback
His family announced the development on social media, asking fans and media to respect their privacy during what they described as a critical moment.
Busch, currently 24th in the points standings, has been a fixture in the series for more than two decades, having captured championships in 2015 and 2019 and adding a victory last year with Richard Childress Racing.
His absence will be felt on the track, where he has consistently ranked among the top competitors, and his team confirmed that they will field a substitute driver for the weekend.
