Kyle Roelke has been named the new boys soccer coach at Franklin High School, taking over a program that has been a powerhouse in Tennessee soccer and will also oversee the girls program.
He succeeds Michael Burgoyne, who retired after 14 years at the helm, during which the team made 12 TSSAA state tournament appearances and captured multiple titles.
A New Era for Franklin Soccer
Roelke brings a deep résumé, having served as an assistant at Vanderbilt, head coach at Western Michigan and Belmont, and most recently with the Nashville SC Academy, where he won the 2017 U‑18 National Championship.
The coach holds both a UEFA A License and a USSF A License, credentials that underscore his commitment to technical excellence and player development.
The boys finished the spring season 16‑2‑2, while the girls have amassed 11 state championships, setting high expectations for the upcoming campaign.
Community members and players alike are eager to see how Roelke’s vision will blend his championship pedigree with the school’s storied legacy.
