The Southeastern Conference has released its 2026‑27 women’s basketball schedule, and the University of Tennessee Lady Vols are set to navigate a demanding slate that blends home comforts with challenging road trips.
Tennessee will open its conference campaign on December 31, traveling to College Station, Texas, to face Texas A&M in an early‑season showdown that promises to set the tone for the year.
A marquee home matchup
On January 28 the Lady Vols will host South Carolina, the team that captured the 2026 SEC regular‑season crown, offering an early test against a program that has dominated the league in recent years.
A few days later, Ole Miss will welcome former Lady Vols standouts Talaysia Cooper and Jaida Civil, adding a personal storyline to the contest and underscoring the program’s alumni impact.
Road tests and historic series
Tennessee will make a road appearance at Texas on January 7, confronting a squad that secured the 2026 SEC Tournament title, while later in the month the team journeys to Kentucky for the first leg of a home‑and‑home series scheduled for February 21 at home.
The Lady Vols will also meet a host of other conference rivals, including Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Oklahoma, LSU, Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi State, Missouri and Vanderbilt, spread across both home and away venues throughout the season.
