A chilly evening at Regal Soccer Stadium turned into a celebration of depth and talent as the Tennessee Lady Vols posted a 4-0 victory over Milwaukee, setting a new attendance benchmark with 5,489 fans on hand.
A Milestone Night for the Lady Vols
The scoring opened early when senior forward Taylor Cheatham struck in the 11th minute, her first career goal putting Tennessee ahead 1-0. Just 34 seconds into the second half, junior forward Kameran Bluette added another, assisted by freshman Emerson Moore, who recorded her inaugural college assist.
The onslaught continued with Jayla Blue finding the back of the net in the 68th minute and sophomore defender Marlee Raymond capping the flurry with her first Lady Vol goal in the 73rd minute. Notably, all four goals were scored by players who had never before netted a collegiate marker, underscoring the team’s emerging talent.
Coach Joe Kirt praised the crowd’s energy and the contributions of the bench unit, noting that their collective effort lifted the squad’s standard and helped secure the comfortable margin.
Looking ahead, the Lady Vols will host Western Carolina on Sunday, August 23, at 6 p.m. ET as part of senior day festivities, aiming to carry the momentum into the next phase of their schedule.
