All‑Tribune Honors 2026
The Huron Daily Tribune has released its 2026 All‑Tribune baseball teams, recognizing the top performers from the region and celebrating the achievements of players, coaches and programs across the area.
The Lakers were selected as the Team of the Year after capturing both the district championship and the Big Thumb White Division regular‑season title, a milestone that marks their first district crown since 2019.
Compiled by sportswriter Tom Greene using all‑conference, All‑Thumb and all‑state considerations, the selections reflect a rigorous evaluation of performance throughout the season.
Coach Ron Dubs received the All‑Tribune Coach of the Year honor for guiding the Lakers to those championships, while senior standout Ben LeVasseur was named Player of the Year after posting a .429 batting average, 45 hits, 37 RBIs, 51 runs scored, seven home runs and 13 doubles.
LeVasseur’s all‑around production earned him a spot on the All‑Tribune First Team alongside teammates Lucas Wehner, Ryker Wallace, Collin Franzel, Matt Murdoch, Jackson Anthony, Davis Peters, T.J. Barnes, Jackson Wohlschlager, Evan Benjey, Anthony Kubacki and Tyreke Essenmacher.
The Second Team featured a deep pool of talent including Skiler Kruse, Cole Kelly, Christian Sanchez, Blake Sakon, Owen Reibling, Hayden Anthes, Wyatt Schumacher, Micah D’Arcy, Gavin Pawlowski, Jacob Siemen, Grant Spackman, Caden Franzel and Griffen Schipinski.
Honorable mentions rounded out the recognition with additional standouts such as Jacob Koroleski, Matt Dufty, Caden Bucholtz and many others who contributed to a vibrant season.
