Execution Over Talent
The Lakeview Bulldogs are entering the 2026 season with a clear mantra: competition and execution trump raw talent. Coach Ron DeJulio Jr., now in his second year at the helm, has built a program that prizes discipline, mental toughness and a physical, run‑heavy attack that starts between the tackles.
Key Players Stepping Up
Senior linemen anchor both sides of the ball, with quarterback Asa Lantz and defensive end Nolan Allen among the returning starters who will carry the bulk of the workload. Sophomores Blake Swinning, Alex Yannucci, Blake Phillips and Alex Cash are slated to assume larger roles, while junior linebacker Jon Lawson will be a key presence on defense.
The Bulldogs will open the season at home against the Springfield Tigers on August 21, a matchup that will test the new‑look offense and set the tone for a campaign built on consistency.
More Than a Team
Beyond the X’s and O’s, Coach DeJulio stresses growth as athletes and as young men, drawing on his own journey in the sport to shape a culture of accountability and ambition.
