The Stevens Point Area Public School District has named Landon Dehnel as the new head coach of the varsity boys hockey team, a move that underscores the district’s confidence in a coach who already lives the Panther hockey tradition.

Dehnel brings more than four years of service within the SPASH program, having previously played in the Wisconsin Valley Conference and contributed to the team’s development as both a player and a coach.
Athletic Director David Hauser praised the appointment, stating that Dehnel’s deep understanding of the program’s heritage and his dedication to student‑athletes make him the ideal leader to build on recent successes.
Beyond the rink, Dehnel continues to teach at P.J. Jacobs Junior High School and oversees seventh‑ and eighth‑grade baseball, demonstrating his commitment to mentoring young athletes across multiple sports.
