Lane Arroyos, a junior outfielder from Katy, Texas, has been named to the First Team All‑Conference USA for WKU Baseball, a testament to a season that has placed him at the top of the league’s offensive leaders.
He finished the regular season with a .366 batting average, a .474 on‑base percentage and a .596 slugging percentage, compiling 75 hits and 52 runs batted in while also hitting 24 doubles.
His 24 doubles not only led the conference but also tied the program’s single‑season record, matching the marks set by Chris Turner in 1991 and Wade Gaynor in 2008.
Arroyos has been remarkably consistent, delivering multi‑hit performances in 27 of his 52 games, including two games in which he collected four hits.
Tournament Outlook
The Hilltoppers enter the Conference USA Tournament as the No. 6 seed and will open play on May 20 against the No. 9 seed Middle Tennessee, a matchup that could further showcase Arroyos’s hot streak.
