A Citywide Celebration
The inaugural National Fantasy Football Draft Day unfolded on August 22, 2026, inside the glittering lobby of Circa Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ceremony was jointly staged by Fantasy Sports Entertainment & Productions and Draft Nation, marking the official kickoff of a multi‑day festival that honors the nation’s 60 million fantasy football enthusiasts.
The Proclamation and the Players
Mayor Carolyn Goodman signed a city proclamation declaring August 22 as National Fantasy Football Day, a symbolic gesture that was presented on stage by Marlo Anderson, founder of the National Day Calendar, alongside Draft Nation co‑founders Bill Enright, Ed Bunnell and Ian Ritchie.
The proclamation was joined by representatives from the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and Circa Resort & Casino, underscoring the event’s blend of sport, commerce and community.
Celebrity guests added star power to the affair, with former NFL stars Adrian Peterson, Austin Eckler, Jeff Garcia, Earl Thomas, Richard Christy and Ronnie Mund joining the festivities. Their presence highlighted the growing cultural footprint of fantasy football.
A High‑Definition Stage
The ceremony moved outdoors to Stadium Swim’s amphitheater, where a 143‑foot high‑definition screen illuminated the night sky. The massive display served as a backdrop for the first draft picks of the 2026 season, turning the venue into a high‑definition stage for league commissioners, fantasy personalities and fans alike.
Beyond the spectacle, the week‑long celebration will feature panels, fan zones and interactive experiences, promising to deepen engagement among participants nationwide.
