The University of Oregon announced this week that Laura Schott will join the Ducks women's soccer program as an assistant coach, bringing a distinguished playing and coaching pedigree to the role.
A Record‑Setting Playing Career
Schott, a two‑time All‑American at the University of California, Berkeley, arrives after a stellar collegiate career in which she set multiple Golden Bears records for goals in a single game, a single season and over her entire career.
Her coaching journey includes four Big Sky Conference titles as head coach of Portland State, where she became the program's all‑time winningest coach, and the past five years spent at George Fox University.
Tracy Joyner, the Ducks' head coach, praised Schott's analytical acumen, work ethic and commitment to high‑performance standards, saying the new hire aligns perfectly with the team's ambitions.
Schott's appointment marks a strategic addition as the Ducks look to bolster their defensive strategies and overall competitiveness in the Pac‑12 conference.
