Lauren Harris Commits to Colorado Buffaloes

Record‑breaking shooter joins the Buffs ahead of the 2026‑27 season

Lauren Harris, a record‑breaking shooter from Faith Christian High School in Yuba City, California, has committed to the University of Colorado Buffaloes for the 2026‑27 season.

During her high school career she amassed 742 three‑point field goals, establishing a new national record, and she set the single‑season mark with 242 made threes.

A Record‑Breaking Career

She earned first‑team all‑conference honors all four years, was named Sac‑Joaquin Section Player of the Year as a senior, and guided her team to a 34‑1 finish that included the program’s first CIF State Division IV championship.

Harris averaged 31.1 points, 13.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 2.3 steals per game as a senior, reached the 50‑point plateau three times with a career high of 53 as a sophomore, and produced 12 games with at least ten three‑pointers, highlighted by a 13‑three performance.

A Freshman Class with Fresh Faces

She will join the Buffaloes alongside five incoming transfers and seven returning players, making her one of two true freshmen expected to contribute immediately.

The incoming class also features other notable recruits such as JR Payne, Amy Wright, Aaliyah Chavez and Cail Jahnke, adding depth to the roster.

With a blend of seasoned veterans and fresh talent, Colorado looks to build on its recent success as it prepares for the upcoming season.
