The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series was set to run at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 24, 2026, but the schedule was disrupted by three separate postponements and a total of eleven caution periods. The race finally took the green flag in the early morning, just hours before the Coca‑Cola 600 was slated to begin.
A Turbulent Day at Charlotte
When the event finally completed its 110‑lap distance, Layne Riggs crossed the finish line first, fending off Kaden Honeycutt on the decisive restart. The victory marked Riggs’ second win of the season and highlighted the competitive nature of a field that included teams from Front Row Motorsports, TRICON Garage, Spire Motorsports and many other entrants.
The race’s conclusion also underscored the depth of the series’ roster, with drivers such as Connor Zilisch, Ben Rhodes, Christian Eckes, Brandon Jones, Tanner Gray and a host of additional competitors battling throughout the afternoon. The unofficial results list reflects participation from a wide array of organizations, including Kaulig Racing, Niece Motorsports, CR7 Motorsports and others.
