The Leaf-Chronicle has unveiled its All Area baseball team for the 2026 TSSAA season, recognizing the standout performers from across the Clarksville region and celebrating the talent that helped shape a memorable year for local high school baseball.
Player of the Year Spotlight
Keaton Anderson, a senior outfielder from Clarksville High, earned the prestigious Player of the Year honor after posting a .500 batting average and leading the state with 50 stolen bases in 52 attempts, while also delivering 60 hits, eight doubles, four triples and a home run that helped his team clinch a winning season.
The announcement also includes a fan‑driven poll that lets the community choose the top Clarksville area player, with every member of the first team on the ballot. Voting remains open through Friday, June 26 at 2 p.m., giving readers a final chance to voice their support.
Other notable names on the list include Benton Barksdale, who hit .333 with 44 hits and 41 stolen bases, and Dylan Fulton, who posted a .406 average and a .725 slugging percentage. Pitchers such as Jayden Gaylor and Matthew Heimpel turned in sub‑2.00 ERAs, while Lucas Lingg contributed a .381 average and 36 RBIs.
The breadth of talent extends to players like Jackson Perry, who hit .429 with six home runs and 30 RBIs, and Karter Pledger, who combined a .418 average with 29 RBIs and 15 stolen bases. Each of these athletes contributed to a season filled with dramatic performances and record‑breaking moments.
