Lee Orchard, known in the entertainment world as DJ Britlee and as the face of the Vegas Golden Knights’ knight mascot, has become a fixture at T‑Mobile Arena, appearing in every home game since the franchise’s debut in 2017‑18. His continuous presence on the ice has turned the character into a beloved symbol for fans, blending the excitement of live hockey with a touch of theatrical flair.
The commitment spans 408 consecutive home games, a streak that earned Orchard a 2023 Stanley Cup championship ring for his contributions to the team’s title run. He has also suited up for three Stanley Cup playoff series, each appearance reinforcing his role as a bridge between the sport’s competitive edge and its community outreach.
Beyond the rink, Orchard spins tracks at a variety of Las Vegas venues, from the Vanderpump Hotel’s lounge to the Flamingo Go Pool and the M Resort’s DayDream pool. As a co‑founder of the booking agency VBE Talent, he curates entertainment experiences across the Strip, a pursuit that earned him the 2023 Best Local DJ accolade from The Weekly.
His path to Las Vegas was shaped by years abroad. After stints in England, Spain, and on cruise ships traversing the Mediterranean and Caribbean, Orchard settled in the city in 2012, bringing with him a multicultural perspective and a background that includes almost nine years at Medieval Times in Tenerife, where he progressed from performer to show director.
Orchard’s love of hockey traces back to his childhood in Peterborough, England, where his father introduced him to the Detroit Red Wings and the legendary Wayne Gretzky’s move from Edmonton to Los Angeles sparked his fascination. Those early influences helped him transition from player to mascot, a shift he credits to his distinctive accent and performance experience.
Future Aspirations
Looking ahead, Orchard has set a personal milestone of completing ten seasons as the Golden Knight before contemplating retirement. The goal reflects both his dedication to the franchise and his desire to continue evolving his dual careers in sports entertainment and music.
