A New Chapter for the Lady Eagles
Brett Carr, a name synonymous with Tatum basketball excellence, has been appointed head coach of the Tatum Lady Eagles program, marking his return to the school where he once steered the boys' team to its first-ever UIL 3A State Championship.
During his previous tenure, Carr built a reputation for instilling relentless effort, discipline, and accountability, qualities that defined teams that captured multiple state tournament appearances and ultimately a historic championship in his final season.
Now, Carr brings that same championship pedigree to the Lady Eagles, drawing on a deep understanding of Tatum's expectations, traditions, and the pride that surrounds the school's athletic identity.
His vision emphasizes team belief and a culture of hard work, aiming to translate the same standards that fueled the boys' program into a competitive and cohesive girls' program that can contend at the highest levels.
The community and administration alike anticipate that Carr's leadership will provide a strong foundation for the Lady Eagles, fostering growth and success that honors the school's legacy while charting a new course for the program's future.
