Lehi’s girls soccer squad kicked off the 2026 season in impressive fashion, routing Bountiful 5‑1 on August 4 at home. Early pressure from the defending state champions gave way to a measured response from the hosts, who took control of the tempo within minutes.
Early Offensive Surge
The team struck first, netting three goals in the opening half and establishing a commanding lead. Their fluid passing and quick transitions caught Bountiful off guard, allowing Lehi to dictate the pace of play.
Five different players found the back of the net, including senior forward Presley Shippen, midfielder Tessa Richards, and sophomore Kajsa Sherman. Lillie Watson and Chloe Fritch also contributed goals, underscoring the depth of the attack.
Coach Jonas Hartmann praised the defensive adjustments and tactical execution, noting that the team weathered early pressure and then seized control. ‘We focused on staying organized at the back and capitalizing on the chances we created,’ he said.

Bountiful managed only one goal, a late strike by Kayd Kupfer assisted by Myka Page, but it arrived after the outcome had already been decided. The goal offered a brief spark for the visitors but did not alter the final score.
