Lehigh University's women's basketball program has been celebrated by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for the eighth straight year, underscoring a sustained commitment to academic excellence alongside athletic competition.
The Mountain Hawks posted a cumulative GPA of 3.502 during the most recent semester, comfortably exceeding the 3.0 threshold that qualifies teams for the honor roll and earning them special mention within the association's division.
A Legacy of Scholarship
The latest honor roll includes 119 collegiate teams across the five NCAA divisions, reflecting a conference‑wide emphasis on maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA while competing at the highest level.
WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew highlighted the significance of the accolade, noting that the association has been compiling these honor rolls for three decades and that each honoree demonstrates a balanced pursuit of victory on the court and rigor in the classroom.
Lehigh's recent campaign also culminated in a Patriot League championship, providing a platform where competitive success and academic distinction coexist.
