A Season of Distinction
Lenoir‑Rhyne’s men’s basketball program has once again been recognized for excellence beyond the hardwood, capturing the National Association of Basketball Coaches’ Academic Excellence award for the 2025‑26 season.
The honor reflects a team‑wide grade point average of 3.269, underscoring the Wolfpack’s commitment to scholarship as they pursued a postseason berth.
Adding to the accolade, five standout players — Tyler Burraston, Julian Dozier, Junior Hodnett, Sam Martin and Conner Tilley — earned spots on the NABC Honors Court, a distinction reserved for athletes who maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2.
Their academic performance comes alongside a memorable on‑court run that saw the squad advance to the NCAA Regional Championship, marking the second straight year the team has reached that stage.
The combination of high‑level competition and strong classroom performance illustrates a culture that values development in both arenas, setting a benchmark for programs across the nation.
