A Community Legacy in the Making
Former NFL cornerback Levi Wallace returned to his roots last weekend, hosting the third edition of his Next Gen Football Camp at Tucson High Magnet School.
The free camp, open to children from kindergarten through eighth grade, combined on‑field drills with mentorship sessions designed to teach both football fundamentals and broader life lessons.
Wallace, a Tucson High alumnus who later played college football at the University of Alabama and enjoyed a stint in the NFL, said the event is part of a larger mission to give back to the community that shaped him.
The Levi Wallace Foundation, which supports educational and athletic opportunities through camps, scholarships and community events, partnered with local schools to bring the program to life.
Participants like Brevin Coleman, a multi‑position player who balances wide receiver duties with quarterback snaps, left the field motivated to stay in school and pursue success both on and off the gridiron.
Brandy Coleman, Brevin’s mother, said the camp motivates kids to stay in school and be successful, underscoring the broader impact on families.
Wendy Wallace, Levi’s mother, emphasized that the camp reflects Levi’s deep connection to Tucson and his desire to inspire the next generation.
Beyond skill development, Wallace hopes each camper walks away with confidence, discipline and a sense of belonging that extends far beyond the stadium.
