Parking Woes at Southeast Baseball Park
The Southeastern Cal Ripken Baseball League has issued a clear directive to all spectators: use only the officially designated parking lots surrounding Southeast Baseball Park. League officials say they have become increasingly aware of growing congestion and confusion among fans trying to find space on game days.
Complaints have begun to surface about cars spilling onto the grass surrounding the fields and about unmarked vehicles blocking access routes. Parking on the grass is expressly prohibited except during tournament play or other large events, a rule that the league enforces to protect the playing surface and maintain safety.
City Response and Enforcement
Lexington Parks & Recreation has been in direct contact with the league to address the ongoing concerns. Officials have confirmed receiving multiple reports of improper parking and have warned that violations will be met with citations.
Local police will begin issuing tickets to any vehicles found parked in restricted areas, including grassy zones and unapproved lots. The move is intended both as a deterrent and as a way to reinforce the importance of following established parking protocols.
