Regis College announced this week that Liam Johnston has been appointed as the Graduate Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach, bringing a blend of on‑court success and scholarly achievement to the program.
Championship Roots
During his time at Keene State College, Johnston was a cornerstone of a dominant Owls squad that captured three consecutive Little East Conference championships, and he capped his collegiate career by leading the team as captain in the 2025‑26 season.
A four‑time member of the LEC Academic Honor Roll, he graduated with a 3.38 GPA, earned Dean’s List recognition multiple times, and was inducted into the National College Athletic Honor Society.
Beyond playing, Johnston has logged over a thousand hours as a Supermax Basketball Instructor with PGC Basketball, where he mentored youth athletes and refined his coaching philosophy.
He also spent the summer of 2025 assisting the Holderness School coaching staff at several NEPSAC showcase events, further sharpening his ability to develop talent at the high‑school level.
Coaches and teammates alike expect Johnston’s championship mindset and academic rigor to elevate the Regis program both on and off the court.
